ABOUT THE ALBUM

Litany is Vader’s fourth studio album, originally released on March 20, 2000 by Metal Blade Records. The recording sessions took place in November 1999 at Red Studio in Gdynia, Poland, with production handled by Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek and Adam Toczko. Mastering was done by Bartłomiej Kuźniak at Studio 333 in Częstochowa.

The album was nominated for a Fryderyk Award (Poland's equivalent of the Grammy) in the “Hard & Heavy Album of the Year” category and reached #1 on the Gazeta Wyborcza bestsellers list.

Musically, Litany stands out for its short, intense tracks with grindcore influences—a shift in Vader’s style. The ferocious drumming of Krzysztof “Docent” Raczkowski gives the album its aggressive energy, and the debut of Maurycy “Mauser” Stefanowicz as lead guitarist added a fresh edge to the band's sound.
